Internet advertising is now the most favoured form of showcasing any business. Modern Brides are savvy and like to research and compare products and services. Our Directory allows Brides to locate what they are looking for, learn more about you as a business, and contact you with questions and hopefully bookings/orders.

We understand that as a Wedding Supplier you have great skills in what you do, and that those skills do not necessarily include IT. This in mind, here is a step-by-step guide to uploading, updating and controlling your website listing. Remember we are also on hand to assist you should you need us help@ukweddingbelles.com

Registering.

In order to upload your advert onto the website, you must first register as a member. This means you will be able to log into your account at any time and change any aspect of your listing yourself. You can also join in on the forums once you are registered as a member and logged into your account.

You will see this link toward the top right of the page. Click the image and you will be able to register.

In the registration box you will be asked to fill out some brief information. Registration will not be sucessful if a member is already registered with your username or email address. Usernames and passwords are case sensitive, and the username should be all one word, no spaces. so do take care during this process. Once you are sucessful you will see the following message...

You will then receive an email with an activation link. On pressing this link you will be taken to our website and informed that activation is complete. 

You can now log onto the website using the box at the top right corner. Remember to log in with your exact username and password which will have been documented on your activation email.

once you are logged into the account the box will disappear and instead you will be welcomed to the site by your username. You are now able to post in the forum section, upload an advert into the Directory or amend/update/renew any advert you already have with us.

Uploading an Advert

Hover over the tool bar where it reads Directory and and a menu will drop down. The second and third options will be of interest to you. The second option to upload a new advert, and the third option to amend, update and renew your advert when it is due to expire. Click on 'Add new Directory Listing' and you will be taken to a page where you can add all the information you wish to appear on your advert. Business name, address, and email are included in the basic price. There is a very small surcharge to add a website link, main image and a description - where you can add a company profile to detail what it is you do and showcase your business. We strongly suggest you use these options to maximise your advert for full effect. There is also an option to have a Featured Listing.  A featured listing will place your advert amongst other featured listings at the top of your chosen category, meaning it will always stay on the first page of your directory category. A link to your listing will also take turns in being displayed on the sites homepage. For more information on the pricing stucture please read our advertising costs 

When adding an image, do make sure it is no larger than 300kB if it is any larger it will not load onto your advert. If you are not able to reduce the file size of your image then proceed with the remainder of your advert and email us the image so that we can add it for you.

At the bottom of the page is where you select which Region and which area of industry you wish to be located. Select your region by clicking the adjacent +. A  menu will drop down, click to highlight which industry best fits your business, once this is highlighted press the >>> to select this category.

Below is an example of an advert to be listed in the Midlands region in the Bridalwear section. Should this advertiser also wish to list in the East Anglia section then they should again click + adjacent to East Anglia, select Bridalwear and press >>>

If this advertiser also wishes to appear in a different industry category 'Jewellery and Tiaras' for example, then they can also use the same procedure to copy their advert into as many different locations and industries as they require. 

Below is an example of the advert having been selected to appear in Both the Midlands & East Anglia under the categories of 'Bridalwear' and 'Jewellery & Tiaras' Should the advertiser make a mistake and add something in error then the <<< button will remove the item.

Once you are happy with your advert, what it includes, the region and the categories you wish to advertise in, there is a 'send' button right at the bottom of the page. Your advert is now stored in our database where it will remain saved. You will then be be taken through the payment process. Once we have received payment and had an opportunity to review your listing, making sure it is within the terms and conditions of the website, we will approve and put the advert onto the website. Your advert should appear within 48 hours, although it is usually much quicker than that, particularly if you upload your advert within office hours.
