Currently? I used to find it very easy to keep permed hair fairly decent looking without too much maintenance. I know loose curls are quite fashionable, but what about a good old bulk standard perm?

I used my tongs last night and at first it looked like I had been given an electric shock. After time spent trying to tame it, it just went all frizzy and messy. What am I doing wrong?
