We are thinking about it for our honeymoon probably a few days in bangkok and then onto one of the islands. Has anyone been to the area that can give me any advise at all????

I haven't been to any of the islands, but I have been to Bangkok. It's a wonderful place. Make sure you see the temples and don't be affraid to try some street food, it is amazing. Do be careful to lock any valuables away in your safe. This is not a judgement on Thai people because they are truly lovely people, but they are poor and they have needs. It's nicer to leave money out as a tip than to leave it around and have it taken which is a downer on the experience.

Haven't been, but the long flight would put me off unless I were able to stay there for a substancial amount of time.
