If you are having a band and a DJ, how long would you have the band play for, and what time - earlier in the night or toward the end?

I would put the band on just after the speeches to get the party started, perhaps for an hour and then kick in the DJ.

Band for the first dance and for an hour or two (depending on what band you are having) and then crack open the DJ and make some shapes
