Tours are a great way to see and learn about colonial buildings as well as the great modern architecture. Take In some of the amazing Temples and have your fortune read by one of the many clairvoyants located at the temple entrance. You've probably seen Aberdeen Harbour many times on television. For an experience to remember, try taking a boat ride in a wooden sampan across the harbour, or have a meal at one of the huge floating restaurants.
Keen amusement park fans can enjoy marine themed Ocean Park, split over a rugged mountain it includes world class rides, an aquatic zoo and Ocean Theatre . The admission ticket includes the trip by cable car over the mountain, and coming down by the world's longest escalator. Hong Kong also boasts its very own Disneyland. One should note that Hong Kong has significant cultural differences from mainland China due to British occupancy and the lack of communist influences. In particular. As Hong Kong was once a British colony, it was largely spared the Cultural Revolution that affected much of the mainland.
Winter (Mid-December - February) is noticeably cooler than the city's other seasons, it is nevertheless mild. You will mainly find crisp, clear days, with little rain. Spring weather in Hong Kong (March - May), can bring wonderfully warm days with clear blue skies, or it can also bring instant downfalls of blanket rain. Humidity is relatively mild. Summer (June - August) is not the best season for a Honeymoon in Hong Kong. The sun beats down and the air is laced with humidity. Added to this misery is the constant threat of summer showers, thunderstorms and Hong Kong typhoons. Autumn (September - Mid-December), is ultimately the best time here. Humidity is low, while temperatures are warming and skies are bright, it is the best time for outdoor activities, and to stroll around and enjoy the city. Autumn weather here is also the most predictable, with sudden changes in the weather unlikely.

A visit to the island of Lanatau is also an excellent experience. Lantau is actually a much larger island than Hong Kong. Much of it is covered in woodlands and you can go on some fabulous walks here. The largest Buddhist monastery in Hong Kong is located high in the Lantau hills. Walk up 260 steps to the 100 ft tall seated statue of Buddha and take in the breathtaking view of the surrounding hillsides. You can even stay at the Po Lin Monastery and sample some of the delicious, yet simple vegetarian fare.
Hong Kong weather is famous for its unpredictability, and rain can turn to shine in a matter of seconds. The city also hosts some of the world's more extreme weather. Despite having a sub-tropical climate, the city does have four distinct seasons.
