Wedding Spec

Spectacle frame fashion is now as fast moving as a suspect Saturday night curry on a Sunday morning. Although we feel compelled to follow fashion trends, it is paramount to remember that spectacles can make a big difference to the way you look.

The latest spectacle style may look chic on your wedding photo's next week but think of your future grandchild's response to them in years to come, I think we can all recall Aunty Maureen's wedding pictures sporting the Deirdre Barlow look and mum in her Nana Mouskouri classics. If you would prefer not to wear spectacles for your big day, most prescriptions can be corrected with Contact Lenses. Make sure you have a current sight test prescription so that the Optometrist can do a fitting. If you would like more information about contact lens wear please contact us at Info@ukweddingbelles.com, and we will gladly email you a more descriptive and gruesome copy of contact lens wearing (only kidding about the gruesome).

For others, wearing specs is part and parcel of who they are, maybe it would feel too unusual without your spectacles. If you are splashing out on new frames just for the occasion it may be worth looking at a rimless design. The rimless frame opens out the face and can look almost invisible if the correct style is chosen. Remember for the more rounded face a squarer frame and visa versa. Stronger prescriptions can benefit from thinner lenses, ask Optical Staff about High Index lenses. The most important thing is to order your lenses with an Anti Reflection Coating, this discourages light from reflecting off the lens, so those treasure photos won't show a reflection from your specs of the cameraman's flash or worse!
