Zara Phillips has confirmed that her wedding dress has been designed by Stewart Parvin.
Zara, who is due to walk down the aisle with fiancé Mike Trindall at the end of the month has, unlike the Duchess of Cambridge, decided to reveall all about her London based designer who is one of the Queen's favourite couturiers gaining Royal Warrant of Appointment in 2007 after dressing HRH for many years previously. Most recently, the Queen wore a black Stewart Parvin creation during an official visit from the American President, Barack Obama.
Although Stewart Parvin has been revealed as Zara’s wedding dress designer of choice, nothing more is known about the gown she will wear to wed England rugby star Mike Tindall in Edinburgh, except that she will opt for a classic design, rather than choosing a wedding dress in line with current trends.
Newlyweds Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge are expected to attend the second British royal wedding of the year between Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall, as are the bride’s grandparents, the Queen and Prince Phillip. Zara’s brother has been chosen for Best Man duties by her husband-to-be and is expected to make a speech at the wedding reception which is due to take place at at the Palace of Holyroodhouse on the Royal Mile.
After the July 30th wedding the couple will be unable to take an immediate honeymoon as the groom Mike Tindall is due to play in a Rugby World Cup warm-up match against Wales on the following Saturday.
